Ceilings attract airborne dirt, cigarette smoke and grease. Cleaning them is a project that is tempting to put off as they are hard to reach. Cleaners from HomeCleaning.org.uk are trained to perform the hardest and toughest cleaning jobs using industry standard cleaning tools. Cleaning the ceilings might sound easy and straight forward to do but actually it requires professional cleaning skills. Our home cleaners are ready to give you their help and make your house clean and tidy.
Instructions for ceilings cleaning
*Use long-handled duster. If you don’t have one simply tie a duster onto the end of a broom.
*Use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment instead of a broom to suck up any dust from hard reaching places.
*For cleaning very dirty ceilings use water. Lay down dust sheets or newspapers to protect furniture, electronics equipment and floors.
*Wear safety goggles or other eye protection (you are likely to dislodge small particles that you may not be able to see).
*Wear rubber gloves – wear sweat bands designed for sport on your wrists will stop dirty water dripping up your arms.
*Use a sponge mop with an extender handle. Be careful to apply even pressure and get an even distribution of the cleaning product so it won’t streak.
*Use a dry foam sponge as an alternative and stand on stepladder.
*Break the ceiling into imaginary small squares and get off and move the stepladder each time you go to start a new ’square’.
*Whether they are covered with emulsion or gross paint, a general-purpose cleaner, such a Flash, works well.
*Or use a concentrated purpose cleaner, mixing both to packet instructions.
*Dip the sponge in the solution, wring out the excess and wipe the dirty area.
*Rinsing is necessary only if the ceiling is heavily soiled, but whether or not you rinse, you will need to wipe away excess moisture with a dry towel to prevent bead marks.
*Those that have a rough surface are best kept dry.
Keep running over it with the vacuum cleaner and the soft brush attachment.
